      HDMI input ports on my TV stopped working. Bought one of these so I could use the TV’s still-working VGA input instead- it worked great. Now about to buy another one so my newish laptop (HDMI output) can be used with an old projector (VGA input)

      I have to connect a client laptop to a screen via HDMI and while the screen has a DVI input this is being used by my own laptop. Using this I can convert to standard VGA and then on the screen choose which input to use..Works as expected. drives to 1280×960 quite happily
