      When there are several boxes including modem. router. firewall. network switch. and patch panel. all in close quarters. it is really helpful to have a few select colour-coded cables to keep the interconnections clear.

      I bought a 4 way splitter at the same time as these ethernet leads. I now have 3 consoles and tv all hardwired to my router. Each of these leads can handle 1Gb and my internet speed is 500Mb so they’re perfectly able to cope. One console that was connecting to internet via wifi prior to installing these new leads showed 220Mb download speed in a signal test. Once connected to splitter and router with one of these leads the signal test gave a download speed of 510Mb and an upload speed of 180Mb. Definitely recommend.
