      Was skeptical about this cheap product where others are around a tenner but it actually works! Note. the way this works is that I plugged into my computer which has a HDMI input and used my VGA cable to connect from the adapter to the Desktop Monitor.

      Not much else to say about it… I plugged the VGA cable from my other monitor into the VGA port on this adapter. then plugged the HDMI end into my laptop. and bingo! The two were connected.

      I was able to just connect up & use straight out the packet. It feels like quite a good quality product & for the cost it also comes with power lead & auxilary lead if you need them. I don’t. Only time will tell if this adapter is worth 5 stars.

      The extra micro usb is essential for working with my MacBook Pro..Having figured out the 3.5mm jack but not the reason I bought it..Would highly recommend to anyone who needs a powered adapter for their Apple Laptop.

      Good product. plug into computer hdmi port. plug in monitor VGA lead. plug in the USB lead for a 5v power supply and all works plug and play. O/s windows 10. nearly forgot coupled the sound stereo jack too and the sound is ok too.

      Very neat little device. Much improved from similar products I’ve used in the past. It does use a USB port for Power so make sure you device PC/Laptop has spare USB near/next to HDMI port. Picture quality excellent and no discernible lag. So if you current VGA screen is in good nick get one of these. Not tried the audio out put from this device but can’t see any reason it would not work to a screen/projector with Audio line in either 3.5 jack of via phono adaptors.
