Bought this to connect my laptop to an external monitor that I got on ebay. The monitor doesn’t have a hdmi input so bought this converter. It’s really useful. I’ve had no problems so far with it. It’s got an audio output which is quite clever. Not sure what the usb wire is for but maybe that is something you need?.No complaints from me

I bought this to connect an older VGA monitor to newer hdmi connected devices..Now I am using it with a TV settop box to get the audio out of the hdmi connection..It needs the USB power to operate.

I have bought these many times for home and office. We use at home and office when we have a monitor that is VGA and a desktop or laptop that is HDMI. Easy to connect. Plug in and it works. Takes 30 seconds. Works instantly.

My only complaint is that the picture quality is not the greatest through the cable… but it does the trick. If your monitor has good settings to adjust colour and stuff. it makes it manageable.

Converts HDMI to VGA connector. right out of the box. It would be nice if the USB cord (required for power) could be a bit longer as there may not be power that close to where the video connector is.

This was needed to connect a computer that only had HDMI output to a KVM/IP unit that only supported VGA. I was a little dubious how this would work daisy-chaining devices together but the image quality is perfect. Equally just as good if you are using it to connect to a VGA monitor..Given the small packaging for it. it’s nice and compact and doesn’t get in the way. Ideal for the job I needed it for.

Works right out of the box. No issues. Stable and we used it for 11 classrooms that had old vga cables to the projector but we wanted to enable it for wireless casting like Chromecast/Ms wireless display adaptor and routing the audio to speakers so that there was no lag taking the audio directly from the laptop or tablet. Was able to carry 1920×1080
