      I like that it is gold-plated. even it is just an adapter or converter..It is for a video source that has only DVI. although the audio has.to be carried through coaxial or optical port.

      Needed to add a additional display but only available ports were dvi and dp. the tv has neither but luckily this little guy worked perfectly. I also tested if the signal would work both directions and it did unlike these older ones I have. The hdmi side connects really tight so no worries of a loose connection. Only complaint is the securing bolts are kinda hard to tighten by hand being so small. my hands are average or medium sized. and the ends of the bolts dont have a drive slot for a screw driver so you have to hand tighten or use plyiers. If you are gonna unplug it all the time and arent a lazy piece of garbage like me you could use a dremel or something else to add a slot for a screw driver. 2 for this price a little extra effort would prob be worth it.
