      Bought a cheap cable and couldn’t get my surface pro to connect to my new external monitor. After connecting this cable it work on the 1st try.

      So I ordered this because I’m trying to create a single work space with multiple screens and several sources. mixture of Mac and Windows machines..Ultimately the age of the older mini display port being used is fast being outmoded but has been best served with a displayport connector at the monitor as hdmi I felt was a bit slow and picture quality has seemingly improved..This could be a complete user bias and I have no means to measure this. but I feel the picture has improved and the stuttering from a bad HDMI cable has since been corrected..Also I can’t attest to longevity just yet as I’ve only had it for a couple of months and whilst these have been problem free. gremlins don’t start til after midnight and I may just be sat in the twilight hour.

      Works perfectly. Working from home and the lap being used only had mini display port. Was perfect for what needed to be done.

      Since working at home became a thing. I’ve had to explore the less used ports of my PC display which only had VGA/DVI and DP as both my PC and work laptop only had VGAHDMI and DP. this was the best of the quality connectors to standardise on. The cable is cheap. appears to be well constructed and works without issue. can’t say fairer than that.

      Because this lead isn’t a pair of tights. I gave the “Sheerness” rating one star. but my word – this lead is the sexy! Like it’s made of IRON. I can run my 4K screen at a 75KHz refresh rate no problems at all with it. Grind that poxy HDMI lead to DUST I say. This Display Port lead is just amazing and recommend it to anyone.

      Had to get these to get my MS surface dock 1 working. It wont display if you have display port and HDMI when running 2 monitors. If you have both monitors on mini display to display port. it works perfectly. Got 2 of these bad boys. saved me $250 from buying a new dock.

      Got a 3090 and had to use hdmi for one of my monitors. needed a cheap cable to use for my Vr headset (the og vive)..Plugged it in and it works no problem. does seem to mess with my displays however.(while its turning on or off the display for the vive my monitors both reset and reconnect as if windows is setting the vive as the main monitor but then it gets reset back to normal) I did not ever experience this using the hdmi cable..But for the price this works just fine and i have no issues. I would recommend if you need a working vive mini dp to dp cable. Also since it handles my super sampling at 2.0 it should handle 4k but i haven’t tested this as all my 4k use hdmi.
