I wanted to attach my Surface Book to my new monitor. The Surface Book only has a mini DP. I bought a mini DP to HDMI cable first which turned out to be a mistake. My monitor was 2K and I did not know the mini-DP->HDMI I purchased did not support that!.Luckily my 2K monitor had a DP. So I bought this mini-DP->DP cable..I can see the full 2K resolution now. Excellent!

Great value. I was able to get my 2010 and 2011 Macbook Pros connected to my 27 inch 4k monitor. albeit at 2560×1440 at 60hz. 4k would not work for them. since their integrated graphics cards do not support it. Definitely interested to see how it would perform on an ultra wide monitor. Beautiful and crisp clear images. Who needs a retina when you can just buy a nice monitor and connect one of these old macbooks..I also tried the cable to connect my 2011 27 inch iMac to my 4k monitor. I was able to get it at 4k. but at 30hz..4k was nice and crisp when using my partner’s Microsoft Surface pro..Good quality cable.

I changed to this 1.8 m mini-DP to DP cable between my Surface Book and Dell monitor and received a perfect picture immediately instead of the message that there was no signal through the DP connection. which was the result with the cable that I had borrowed from work.

The cord works perfect for my 165hz monitor. It is high quality but is not overly stiff. makes cable management easier and does not put a strain on connection points. Would buy again.
