      When lockdown first hit my employers sent me a Microsoft Surface to enable me to work from home which was all well and good but in the cause of being a cool piece of kit it seriously lacks ports..A port adaptor was then sent but this only allows for mini HDMI!.I bit the bullet and bought one of these myself so I could work more efficiently. quick delivery and plug and play so no complaints. in fact I have now bought a second of these to allow me to use dual monitors..You don’t need to spend more…

      Took it out of the box. plugged it in the iMac thunderbolt (late 2012 so getting on). plugged a HDMI cable in the other end. Display/desktop appeared..Also worked in the mini displayport on my work laptop. a 2016 Lenovo.Also worked on a 2015 Macbook Air 11″.Works in other words…

      Exactly what I needed. I’ve just started to run 2 monitors as I work with multiple documents. I wanted an easy solution to use both 27″ screens and this is it. No software needed just plug the adaptor into the mini DP and connect your HDMI cable and Bob’s your aunties living lover. Job done.
