      I ordered this to stream from my MacBook Air to my Sony TV. You also need an HDMI cable. which I already had. As soon as I connected them and changed the input on my TV to the correct HDMI slot. my computer screen popped right up on my TV. The picture and sound were perfect and the computer sound will be controlled by your TV remote. which is convenient.
