      It services its purpose. The price is worth the outcome. I should get paid for these comments. Either way it looks like it should for an old monitor 1080p. If it does not work then its the VGA in the monitor. I went through a lot of troubleshooting and it always lead back to the single VGA on the monitor.

      Works as advertised. Quality of the second screen image is good. The USB power cord is very short. so if the HDMI port and the USB port are not on the same side of the laptop. you might not able to use it. However. I found out later that I do not need to use the USB power cord and still able to use the second screen.

      Don’t understand the audio port option but it does it’s job translating VGA to HDMI which is it’s purpose.

      This one works. but supported refresh rates are mostly 60khz. so not great for Retro PC gaming. VicTsing Gold-Plated HDMI to VGA Converter Adapter for PC seems to have wider compatiblity..In short. both work. but the smaller. VicTsing Gold-Plated HDMI to VGA Converter Adapter for PC can support higher frequency rates. upto about 85khz at some resolutions.

      Plugged it into an HDMI port on a computer and connected it to a VGA monitor and guess what? It worked perfectly. Came with a USB power cord and audio cable too. Very good for the price.

      I bought this to hook up a monitor to my laptop (which only has HDMI output) to a computer monitor. It works well and doesn’t take up much desk space. Picture quality is great for my general use purposes; it comes with a USB power cable you can plus into your computer to help with picture quality. but I haven’t needed it. It’s a good. simple solution for people who need a home office set up.
