My laptop Ethernet port only worked for short periods. This adaptor gave me a permaent high speed connection. People without an Ethernet port would also benefit as it is a lot faster than a WiFi connection.

Used this in conjunction with a Lenovo X1 Carbon lovely piece of kit but has no Ethernet cable.For some work I need faster speeds than WiFi at home can give. Bought this as a cheap Ethernet to USB device works a charm.Plug and play no software to install.

It is small adaptor but very well built. It gets a little hotter than I was expecting but I never thought the connection at my workplace could be that fast. My laptop has no ethernet ports so I was always connected on wifi. Since wifi goes up and down here i decided to try go wired. This is not the first Rankie product I bought I and am very happy with the brand.

…that does what it is supposed to do. What a concept!Seriously though it worked perfectly to connect my MacBook Pro to an ethernet cable. I needed to do a firmware update on the router and it is always recommended to hard wire when doing such an update.No drivers had to be installed worked straight out of it”s packaging.Haven”t had a need to test with non Apple computers but I am sure it will work just as fine.

I had a dodgy ethernet port and was worried it might not work but nope it worked awesome. Just plugged it in and voila worked like a charm.Would recommend.

I bought this unit to link a new laptop to my existing router by a RJ45 cat5 cable. As the laptop didn”t come with an ethernet socket this was the dream solution. The USB 3.0 speeds are significantly better than the USB 2.0 unit I had lying around. It was a simple plug and play – so simplicity to use – as at such a competitive price great value for money.

This does exactly as it says it will. Worked perfectly from first plug into an Apple Mac which made it very good value for money. It has not caused any issues in my time of ownership. Would recommend
