      This adapter allowed me to make use of a perfectly functioning older DVI-equipped monitor with a newer Mini DP output video card. Works perfectly — kept the older display out of a landfill and didn’t have to buy a new one.Be aware — you need to push the Mini DP connector ALL THE WAY INTO THE PORT on the video card. It seemed as if it was fully inserted when I first tried to connect the display but required additional pressure for it to fully snap in and connect.
