TBH I prefer my old iPad case with the cloth finish. but that’s badly worn out and they don’t make them any more. This case is a good replacement at a reasonable price. The way the cover folds to make an angled table-top mount is OK and. I think. similar to other iPad covers. (My old case had a more robust feeling system. but this one will do.).The same manufacturer makes cases with a hard back; this one has a “soft” back and I prefer that because the extra flexibility makes the iPad easier to remove and replace. You will probably need to remove the tablet from its case If you want to mount it in a stand like those made by Konig & Meyer so that can make a difference..My iPad is 1st generation; this case has some small holes that don’t appear to have any use. I assume they are to fit some features of the 2nd generation device. Just mentioning. they are no bother.

The case itself was thick material and sturdy. it fit my 12.9 iPad 2nd gen perfectly. And the pencil slot was perfect to store my 1st Gen Apple pencil without having to worry about it falling out!
