      Old projector only has VGA. New computers only has HDMI. Works great.

      Works well for me. I have a hdmi output on an old asus laptop and I needed a vga end to plug into my old Toshiba monitor which seems to work just fine.

      I bought a new PC and all the connections are now HDMI. My old PC connected to my monitor via a VGA lead and as I didn’t need to change the monitor I bought this lead to go from the PC to the monitor. It works perfectly..Bear in mind this lead is designed to go from HDMI on the PC to VGA on the monitor. it won’t work the other way round if you’ve bought a new monitor and want to connect it to an older PC.

      I used this cable to hook up an old 17″ monitor I had lying around just for system monitoring. and it works great. I only wanted the visual. but if you need audio as well. you should know this cable won’t carry it. You will need to use an additional 3.5mm cable. or some other source for your audio output.
