      I ordered this to connect my HDMI work laptop to VGA port on my home working monitor (As only had a display port and VGA). Took 10 seconds to set up and works perfectly. Only small issue is the audio doesn’t seem to carry through though the cable came free with the device and wasn’t expecting so a moot point really. Either way. completely satisfied with my purchase and seems durable so hopefully it will last.

      I got this for a client whose laptop only had HDMI out. She still had a VGA projector that she wanted to be able to use. The adapter did the trick and allow for the HDMI output from her laptop to drive the VGA input of the projector..The package also comes with a 3.5mm audio out to allow for the HDM (video + audio) to be broken out to VGA (video) and 3.5mm (audio). I guess this would also be handy to patch in some powered computer speakers to be used for a meeting where you need to output sound in a presentation.
