      This worked like a charm! I hooked up a 24 inch flat screen and now I have an additional big monitor. Worth the money.

      Have a Vizio tv with 3 hdmi ports that do not work which appears to be a big Vizio issue. My last resort to be able to hook up a Roku was to use the VGA port. Great cheap solution and got 1080 resolution. Be sure to to use the usb port for power (not in the instructions). You need a male to male vga cord to hook into tv and this device. Audio line to audio port for sound (comes with it) and a hdmi connector (their really cheap) to connect a male to male hdmi cord.

      Works perfect This is my second one of these I have bought and they both ok great I use them on my security camera DVR’s. I come out with the HDMI and l plug in my monitors VGA cable into it Great Clear pictures on both monitors.

      Work great. Laptop only had HDMI and did not support the resolution the TV required which was odd as it was standard 1360×768. Anyway plugged this in connected to VGA input on TV and boom resolution was now available to select and everything works great. Even use the audio out of this device to use the TV speakers which are better than the laptop. Plug-n-Play no issues buy it if you need it.

      I have not tested the audio but the video part allowed me to connect a Wii U to a 1080p VGA-only monitor. Unfortunately a much older 4:3 monitor would not work. I think the monitor could not interpret the 16:9 signal correctly.
