      Worked exactly as advertised. I only required video and had no need for USB or audio as I wanted to extend my laptop (closed) across two monitors. This did it just fine.

      Connected everything easily and everything worked just fine. Needed one because my dvi connection from my laptop doesn’t work anymore so I had go with the hdmi route from my laptop to the dvi on my extra monitor. Not sure if the plug is to power up the adapter or for the apparent audio that it can receive. Either way I didn’t notice any changes in how well it worked.

      Well worth the money I’m going from a DVD player to an older VGA projector and the picture and sound are great. I use the headphone wire output to connect to a sound system. I also use the power wire for the adapter and there is no flicker or discoloration.

      I ordered this one after another one stopped working and this one is 10x better. The screw holes avoids the unplugging problem I had on my old one and the audio port is a good touch.
