      Works for my business Mac book pro with retina display as well as my personal HP laptop. Transmits decent quality picture with my older version monitor. Using just for work purposes with a dual monitor setup so not sure about gaming quality.

      Got to read SD cards on my macbook to transfer pictures from my camera to macbook that has no card slot just plug (USB) in and use it takes old large SD and new micro SD cards great little adaptor.
