      Use Case: 3D CAD Technical Engineering (House Plans) and MMORPG Video Gaming.Using these cable to adapt from Display Port to HDMI will allow for video and audio pass thru you may find out that AMD FreeSync detection is not working. This has been tested with and PowerColor RX570 4GB video card and 2 Sceptre E248W-19203RS AMD FreeSync Supported monitors. While this is not a deal breaker it is merely a limitation in the pass thru chip for these cables. Bare that in mind when purchasing these cable. Also you will not be able to go higher than the rated 60Hz for monitor refresh as again this limited by the conversion chip within the cable.As for older monitor as in the my case of an ACER S231HL these cable will NOT WORK correctly. You will get signal however you will not be able to set the resolution higher then 640×480. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CABLE. This is a limitation of the HDMI port on the monitor not the cable. This monitor work correctly with a Display Port to DVI convertor cable also from Rankie.Would I highly recommend these cables for a use case such as this. As my budget does not support me moving to a DISPLAY PORT natively supported monitors at this time I would still purchase more of these cables.

      i have been running this cable now for over a year exclusively with AMD GPUs (RX 580 5700 XT) and the same dell display however in recent months the cable has needed re plugging in sometimes on the display and sometimes on the GPU

      One of the best purchases i”ve made in a long time. I thought I had to buy a new monitor because my GPU didn”t have 2 HDMI ports it only had 1 and 3 display ports. This product works perfectly making my HDMI monitor fit into the DP onto the GPU and works flawlessly.

      Pros. Replaced a brand new insignia DP to HDMI cord that was heating up at the port with this cord and this product works great! No more heat up!!!!!Cons. The cord feels cheap but I cannot complain as it does the job!Recommend anyone get this as an inexpensive decent DP to HDMI replacement
