      I attempted to use the cable to connect a Dell UltraSharp U2412M display to a Mac mini (DisplayPort on monitor / HDMI on Mac mini) and was unsuccessful. Be sure you understand that this is a unidirectional cable!

      If having high resolution is something you can live without this cable allows a HDMI TV to act as a PC monitor. I used a 32″ LED TV as a third monitor @ 1920×1080 resolution. With my old eyes this is plenty. Excellent for playing PC games on a bigger screen.Good value for price too.
