      I have a laptop with DP out and an HDTV with HDMI. I mainly bought it to play music on my TV because even with my laptop volume at max I could hardly hear it. Plugging in a pair of headphones. not wearing them. at full volume was louder than the laptop speaker. I can use my TV as a second monitor and listening to music from my laptop on my TV as I type this. The quality and crispness of the windows on my TV is much better than my laptop screen. Bought November 3. 2021. almost a year and still works. I move my laptop around a lot while sitting on my couch and my cable still works. people report having the cable stationary and it failing. but that is not my experience. Maybe the quality differs for each cable and they got bad ones. but mine seems to be good.

      You get what you pay for. This works just fine as I needed it to. Got a second monitor. wanted to use it. so I put it to use. Still works months after getting that second monitor (Nearing a year now).
