I use this for my drawing tablet so it frees up my HDMI for my mixed reality headset. I always check for Rankie cables before I go anywhere else. I’m very sure of them as a brand.

this device “Rankie DisplayPort (DP) to HDMI Adapter. 4K Resolution Ready Converter with Audio (Black)”.works on Windows 7. it gives you the options of stereo. 3.1 all the way to 7.1 when connected to an AV receiver. max 24bit 192kHz..hope this helps.

I bought three of these over time. and for some reason. one of them causes screen tearing at 1080p 60Hz. I’ve swapped them out and confirmed just one of them is problematic. Going to 50Hz helps but is not ideal. I assumed the tearing was due to another issue long ago. so I can’t get a replacement anymore. but it’s worth paying attention to the fact that these adapters may have some issues.

I bought this displayport to hdmi adapter for my gaming computer setup as my nvidia 3070 only has one hdmi port and 3x display port and most of my devices are HDMI. I wanted this one specifically for my old 1080P LG TV setup and it was cheaper than the one I had bought at best buy and it seems a bit better than their best buy essentials version. I do not know if it works on 4K as I do not have 4K devices. however it works crisp for 1080P and it feels more of a quality product than my best buy essentials one.
