It worked out of the box. Plugged into my gpus display port and then to HDMI cable into my monitor and it just worked. Detected my resolution and everything.Just fyi this is not active adapter.

Got this for a client who needed to connect a PC to a TV to use with a security application. Since the PC VGA and DP outputs but no HDMI we needed an adapter and this one does the job admirably. It”s small but still has a section of cable (important to avoid putting strain on the DP connector on the motherboard) picture quality is as good as it is on the VGA screen (haven”t got a better standard to judge it by) so in short it does the job well and it”s very reasonably priced.
