      While not grippy at all. the case has a matte texture that’s pretty easy to hold on to. Fits a Galaxy S8 just right. The case’s top and bottom edge have a lip maybe 1/16″ that keeps the phone face off of flat surfaces. Had this case on daily for eight months. and it looks like new.

      The shell on the back of my phone won’t stay on I bought this to hold it in place. I’m not sure how much it protects the phone but it works to hold the back on.
