Works well for the money and no picture issues. but the connection to the displayport isn’t thee most robust. I am using this on an XPS13 and you can see from the attached photo that the connection is not 100% flush and it slips out. I have had a few of these now as they are cheap enough to replace when issues occur. The vga connection is very secure and no issues there. 4 stars as for the cost it is good value.

I initially bough a HDMI male to VGA male to connect my Macbook (Late 2013) to my old projector. After purchasing I realised I needed a cable with a digital/analogue conversion. I re-ordered another cable with a convertor chip. This 2nd cable worked fine with my dad’s Window’s laptop but not with my Mac. After doing some more research online. I discovered this cable. I was a little confused as my Mac is 6-7 years old. and since then there have been updates to the Thunderbolt port. mine was Thuderbolt 1 (Mini DisplayPort). I was delighted after trying this third cable. the image came on instantly. very crisp quality. of course no audio transfer as VGA only supports video. so I connected my Mac to my speaker and now I have my own home cinema! Thanks 🙂

Perfect adapter. Just what I needed. The box appeared to have been previously opened and slightly damaged. However. the adapter works fine.

Short review as not much to say. Lets you connect a Mini Display Port (MiniDP) to a VGA cable.

Was a bit hesitant to buy a non-OEM adapter. but this works as it should; no ghosting at all.

The screen of my macbook pro gets very crowded when I attend zoom meetings. I have a very old Dell monitor that was lying around so I decided to use it as a second screen. I just plugged in the adapter and it worked right away. The graphics on the second screen was not that sharp but it worked for my purpose. I could not really tell if this was because the monitor or the adapter. At the end of the day. I am happy with my purchase.

Works grand. I have an older VGA monitor that I use as a third screen and it works well for that.
