      I bought this to connect my older MacBook Air (2015 model) to our Samsung TV for Zoom. I had some doubts if the lightning connection would work but it works perfectly for what I need. The connection is immediate once I plug it in and turn the TV on. It allows me to see multiple Zoom participants on a bigger TV screen which is exactly what I needed and more stable than an Airplay connection I used before. I don’t use it for sound so cannot comment on that.

      This cable was perfect for my MacBook Air to connect to my television. I was able to watch anything without any trouble. The cord is long enough to store my computer out of the way. I would recommend this cable.

      Like many people I found myself having to configure a home office due to COVID-19. Fortunately we had renovated our basement in 2018 and created the space but I hadn’t set the office up fully because there was no rush. Now the rush was on. I use a Microsoft Surface Book 2 with two monitors at work and had a Surface Dock for use at home with the intention of using two monitors. I had one LG 4K monitor and had always planned to buy a second. COVID accelerated that purchase but when the new 4K monitor arrived I realized I needed a Mini display port to HDMI connector for the second monitor. I asked our IT department if they had any kicking around and they provided me with one. Little did I know that not all cables are created equal and the cable they provided to me wouldn’t work with the monitor. I had another cable that worked with my first 4K monitor but I realized it was only driving the monitor at 1920 x 1440. I picked up this cable because it promised to drive a 4K monitor at full resolution. I was not disappointed. As soon as I plugged this cable in the monitor came to life and my MS Surface Book recognized it. It was also driving the monitor at 4K but only 29Hz. Apparently this is a limitation of the Surface Book 2 not the cable or the monitor. It can only handle two 4K monitors at 30Hz.I’ve got another one of these cables on order so that I can hopefully boost the resolution on the other monitor to full 4K. I should note I have used other Rankie Mini DP to HDMI cables but they are not marked 4K like this one. I have found them to be reliable cables and they are fraction of the cost of the official Microsoft adapter cable.

      The cable worked right out of the box. I was trying to get an older display port Mac Book Pro to work with a UHD HDMI monitor and was using a USB adapter that would scale the screen down to 1080p. This cable allowed me to use all of the resolutions available with the UHD monitor. Great buy!

      I bought this for working from home in order hook up an additional screen alongside my monitor. Really simple to set up and the picture quality is excellent on a 4K tv. It has also been used to stream films from the laptop onto the tv. Delivery was next day even though it was expected to take 3 or 4 days. Great service
