      I recently cut the cord and got rid of cable. I subscribed to streaming services like Prime. I needed a way to stream when I was away from home. I bought this to plug in to the Microsoft Surface 3 (not pro). It worked perfectly without any setting changes. Video and audio. Just plug it in to the port and in to an HDMI port in the TV and it automatically mirrored my screen. I I highly recommend this cable.
