      This is just what I needed to connect my 2012 15″ Macbook Pro to my 4K display. I was surprised that I am actually able to get 4K (although only at 30HZ but still 4K!). My Macbook (with a GT650M) is not supposed to output 4K so I was pleasantly surprised. Good solid quality cable. Highly recommended especially for the price.

      I couldn”t believe my eyes as I set them upon my television screened after I had hooked it up to my Macbook using this cable. Finally I could view the beautiful images that were displaying on my laptop on the big screen. This is the cable I was after. It will continue to fill my life with joy until it inevitably will become obsolete like every piece of technology that we own as we ”progress” through life and the expanding universe.

      I bought this cable for my Surface 4 so I can plug it into my television and use it as a media center when I go to hotelsI get full 4K quality and it handled 5.1 sound with no difficulty at allJust plug the display port adapter into your computer and then the other end into your TV or other device such as on high-end monitorIt just works and the price was very reasonable
