      Was using an adapter and a DVI cable from my Mac Mini to run 2 monitors. Streamlined it a bit by using this (and another) Rankie brand cable. Nice inexpensive and it works!

      Highly recommend this product but be aware it may stop working once you upgrade any Macbook to OS catalina since the computer no longer detects the external display or monitor and the only way to fix it is by using the official Apple mini display port to dvi adapter

      I have an old monitor that has only DVI and VGA input. and a new laptop with only mini-display port. Before I purchased this. I had to hook it to mini Display -> HDMI. then HDMI -> VGA. The picture quality was not the best and it’s easy to have color off..Ordered and received this cable and it works great. Saved me a lot of money for not buying another monitor.
