      It”s an adapter and a very good one at that. I use with a older MacBook Pro to connect to an external monitor. I”ve used a single HDMI to mDP cable and the HDMI end gets very hot. This adapter is much cooler and zero problems. Would have liked the length to be an inch or 2 shorter more like the length of Apple”s adapters but I”m just being super nitpicky here.

      Fast delivery and good quality. Cable does support 4K video and sound. The latter is depended on your laptop if it does support sound over mini DV.

      This is great product with good quality for converting Mini DP to HDMI. Work right away as expected and delivered ahead schedule! Surely I would buy again and if anyone needs the converter fromMiniDP to HDMI don”t hesitate to get one from this supplier

      I got this because the HDMI to Mini DP cable I had worked fine but unfortunately the mini DP port casing was too thick and so when plugged in the side of my laptop was raised slightly off the desk. Because of this the connection could get lose with any slight movement. This adapter fits onto my laptop perfectly. No more trying to balance my laptop to get a connection. Picture quality is great and I can play games or get work done with no issues.
