      I have use several different kinds of strainers. This is the best. The outer edges are not flat. It has a little incline which keeps food from sticking around the drain. The strainer is deep. Which makes for easy catch of food. Also for the quality and 3 for the price of one is well worth the purchase.

      The basket works great. I have used the mesh kind in the past and they tend to get dirty fast. This basket still prevents things from going down the drain but is much easier to clean.

      I have been buying sink strainers for years and this is the best one so far. On the others they never seem to sit right over the hole and food seems to always go under but not with this strainer. My only feedback would be to make the strainer a little deeper. It is a little shallow so if you have a lot of things in the sink you have to clear it more often.
