      I have replaced the kitchen sink strainers with these. Easy to clean in a dishwasher or by hand. I used plastic ones before. which got nasty.

      This is a very simple. very sturdy. and attractive alternative to the normal stopper in a stainless steel sink. It catches everything and it’s easy to remove and dump. I don’t know why things don’t come with this kind of device standard.
