      I got the new iPhone se 2020. I always get a bumper case. I managed to drop my phone on my concrete back patio. It really bounced. bounced again and skittered away face down. No damage. It bounced on the corners. The lip of the case is taller than the screen. It slid away face down. the edges of the case keeping the screen lifted above the concrete. The case itself shows no sign of damage. Very nice!
