      This case has extra high edges; about 1mm more around the outside edge and the camera lenses. So it provides extra protection from scraches. And it doesn’t interfere with the side buttons EXCEPT……The new 16 Pro Max has a new camera button on the right side. It’s more like a depression which you access with your finger in different ways. Push hard to take a picture. Push lightly to access more camera controls. That’s the tricky part for me. The extra thickness makes it hard for me to get my fat finger to press smoothly on this camera control. Probably just me and I just have to get used to the new camera control. But otherwise this is a great case.
