I think the raised edges in the back is genius and helps with the poor protection the clear plastic offers..MagSafe implementation is clean. 100% flushed with the case. The case was shipped in simple and straightforward packaging. which is great for the environment..As for the case itself. it’s made from a flexible TPU bumper that goes all the way around the perimeter of the phone with a rigid frosted black plastic back. My phone fits comfortably inside and doesn’t rattle around when shaken. On the inside of the corners. there are air pockets which act as cushions to provide added drop protection. which is nice. The edges of the bumper are slightly raised so if the phone is placed face-down on a desk the screen will be elevated from the surface. It’s also compatible with most glass screen protectors and won’t push into the edges..On the side of the case. the power. volume. and action buttons are properly covered and the case doesn’t make them feel mushy or jammed like some others might do. Button presses are responsive and I’ve never had any problems pressing anything. On the bottom of the case. the speaker cutouts align perfectly with the vents and don’t obstruct any sound. while the USB C port cutout is wide enough to allow most cables to plug in without issue. If you have a flush-fitting phone dock however. it will not work as the bottom edge of the case will be too thick but that’s the price to pay for having the bottom of the phone protected..On the back of the case. there’s a ring of magnets that allows this case to attach to MagSafe chargers. The magnets here are strong enough to hold the weight of the phone on a floating-style charger without risk of slipping. There’s also a raised lip around the camera cutout. which can protect the edges of the camera lens. On the flip-side. this also means the phone case won’t sit flat on a desk..Protection-wise. this case should be more than good enough for general daily use. The full-perimeter bumper means you won’t get fingermarks on that titanium band and it’ll protect the phone from light drops or bumps from everyday handling. Obviously. it’s not designed to withstand a drop from a great height (nor protect the back glass from the thumbs of someone intentionally doing a destructive bend test) so if you’re going for some extreme activities then I’d recommend getting another heavier-duty case to swap into..With phone in case. it measures 80.9mm wide. 163mm tall. 10.8mm thick on the body. and 13.1mm thick if you include the raised camera protection. The total weight is 271g. which isn’t bad at all. It certainly doesn’t feel heavy in the hand and honestly I think the frosted black back pairs really well with the black version of the phone. giving it a more premium look.

I like the feel of this case. it feels grippy in your hand while also looking fairly smooth. I did find the magsafe part was a bit on the weak side and it still feels a bit loose in my car mount. However the phone does look really good and it doesn’t attract lint from my pocket either.

All the buttons have small cutouts to allow the button to move when pushed – this means it’s where dust and dirt can enter the sides and potentially cause abrasion on the titanium sides. Not that pleased with that design choice. as other styles have this fully sealed and I think is a better approach to help keep dust out. Having said that. dust is likely to enter through the sides around the screen anyway so maybe not a big deal.

Full disclosure. I ordered and received this case in anticipation of getting my iPhone soon after release date. My order was completely messed up by Apple and I had to cancel and start again. by which time the delivery date had been pushed back to five weeks later. I have to therefore do this review based on appearance only..I’ve had many different Jetech products in the past. and this looks to be of equal quality. They were all five stars. so this must be five stars as well. If I encounter any problems I’ll adjust accordingly.

Amazing case! It has a soft silicon edge with a hard plastic backing. Safe and comfortable at the same time! The cut out at the back is raised so it should protect the camera lenses to some extent..The colours are nice too!

This feels well made but the price is similar to that of other cases that offer much more. There’s no screen protector or camera protection which seems to be standard with others. You have to buy these parts seperately..I do like this brand though and have their cases on my other phones. They always fit perfectly and protect the phone nicely so i’ve no doubt this will be any different. Now to get my hands on a phone! 🙂
