      The previous lens protector protruded out from the lens not ideal. Because of this the lens was a magnet for fingerprints. lint and dust. Not this protector it lays flat and smooth which is awesome for good outcome of photos and videos. Regardless of lens protector always wipe the protector of with a soft cotton towel or shirt sleeve to remove any smudges that may occur when normal handling of your cell phone. A+ for smooth integration with phone and case! I love my phone and lenses! I never want to worry about the cost to repair the photo optics on an iPhone ??!
