I’m embarrassed to say that the problems I had with this unit were mostly my fault. The issue was that it didn’t put the iPad 4 to sleep when closing. Since it was a new unit and all of my other devices defaulted with the function turned on I didn’t even think that it was something other than a defective magnetic device failing to trigger sleep mode. For some reason my other devices defaulted ON and this one defaulted OFF from the factory. In fact I didn’t know that function was optional and could be turned off. I figured it just worked out of the box that way like my others. WRONG! It works fine now that the function is turned on in the the settings.

I absolutely love the matte finish on this case I’ve been looking for a case exactly like this. Both the back and front have a matte finish with the back being made of hard plastic. Holes on the case fit perfectly on my ipad. All in all it looks great. We’ll see how long this case holds up

Very good case well made and fits the iPad Mini 4 perfectly. The price was great too. Got the black for my husband who cares more about the protection not the color. Why are the other colors so much more? Would have gotten an extra one but could not justify paying 40% more for something that most likely costs the same to make as the black one!!

Hard durable covering on the entire back side softer flexible full covering on the front that can be flipped back and used as a stand in a few different positions. Ipad goes to sleep when cover closes and screen wakes when opened. And to think I was going to buy one from the Apple store for 2x what this cost.
