      This is easy to use but I admit. I cannot confirm the accuracy so I gave it the benefit of the doubt and gave this 5 stars for the accuracy. I am using this gun for reference only and primarily to see the difference in temperature between 2 points. So I would only be concerned if the accuracy is substantially different between the two temperatures. Unfortunately. I do not have a way to confirm that accuracy.

      As a human. I can confirm that this is perfectly usable by fleshy meat bags. I use it for measuring the temperature of my gearbox fluid which requires changing at a specific temperature. Works fine. measured temperature is pretty close to that reported by the car. all good..Also great for teasing cats with since it has a laser.

      I use it to check the temperature of pans I am heating..I also use it to measure the temperature of foods like stir fry that can’t easily be checked using an instant read thermometer.

      This is a very handy tool to check for places in your house that are not well insulated or leaking hot/cold air. With the data from the measurements. one can take corrective action to make one’s home more energy efficient..Accuracy is a few degrees Fahrenheit. so not super accurate. but accuracy is not so important when checking relative temperature differences throughout the house.

      I just purchased a new trendy pizza oven and 90%+ users on various blogs have stated that you need one of these types of guns to get accurate readings for proper cooking. This was one of the “economical” ones online and it works great. Battery life is good and it is very easy to use. Love it.
