      I use this item to track the temperature of the control board on my pottery kiln (it cannot get too hot) and also the temperature of the side walls of the little building my kiln is in. It is very easy to use and seems reliable. It feels very solid in my hand. Great price. A good buy.

      As a whole it works pretty well. my only complaint is the noise. it makes a beeping sound ever single time. even if you have turned the beam and light off. this is pretty disturbing for my bearded dragon when I take tank temperatures
