      I use this thermometer mainly for making soap. I no longer have to have 2 or more thermometers in the work areas. When I first used it I double checked it with my meat thermometer and the readings were exactly the same. My meat thermometer is good but the temperature fluctuates back and forth a degree or two. This gives me almost immediate temperature. I DO STIR my oils and my lye water a little so that I get a good internal temperature but I had to do that with other thermometers. No clean-up needed.

      I bought this to replace one – from another seller (Aldi?) – whose LCD screen lost a row of lines after being left in a very hot car. It looks the same has the same buttons and screen and runs of PP3 battery (included). Not measured temperature on anything yet I”m sure it will be fine but the cat loves chasing the laser spot on the floor… fired downwards and moved rapidly so I don”t blind him.

      What man doesn”t need every item known to man for their outdoor kitchen and 5th wheel? So i bought this for the husband and he says it works great and is accurate. I think he just likes getting new things…. but who am I to deny him every toy known to man because he”s making great meals and keeping me out of the kitchen!!! Win/Win!!!!
