      There are many cables you can buy. They all say What They Do. This one says “Connects computer. desktop. laptop. or other devices with HDMI port to a monitor. projector. HDTV. or other devices with VGA port”. So I have an old monitor with a VGA port and my wife wanted to have it connected as a dual monitor to her Laptop with HDMI port. I looked at many cables. yes they don’t work in Reverse. If you have a monitor with only HDMI port and need it to connect to a computer with only VGA port don’t get this cable. If you need to jump the battery on your car don’t get this cable. If you need to connect the washing machine to your microwave oven don’t get this cable. This cable works great. it does what it says. Just read the description instead of rating it one star then justify how you did not read the description.
