I purchased this so that I could hook my Raspberry PI to my KVM switch which only supports VGA and the Raspberry PI has HDMI. It is working well and I love how it had the short micro USB cable so that it could be powered by Raspberry.

After going through several different HDMI to VGA adapters this one finally works as it should. My setup included an HDMI extender to this adapter – so the signal is not straight out of the source. With the included 5v power wire this unit performed exactly as expected. I got a crisp signal on my VGA projector from an HDMI output on my computer. I would highly recommend this adapter especially when an external 5v power source is available.

This is a Great HDMI to VGA Adapter with audit port integrated. It works perfect with my MAC book pro on both video and audit. only complain is after connect this adapter the volume control on touch bar doesn’t work.
