      Item was good. strong construction (metal casing) and served it’s purpose for connecting a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ (full HMDI socket) to an old monitor (VGA) with no hassle. Good that it can be powered and carries stereo audio via 3.5mm jack.

      I connected my laptop to a monitor as a dual-screen. had no problem with it and worth my money. Recently. I got a Nintendo Switch during the pandemic and decided to hook the dock into the monitor. graphics are great 1080p; however. when I inserted my speaker cord into the adapter the sound quality was terrible. loud buzzing sounds yet the audio of the game I was playing was very quiet even though my speakers were on max. I would only recommend this adapter as a dual-screen with a laptop or desktop.

      I used it to connect my Raspberry Pi to an old vga monitor. I had to choose a suitable vga resolution on the monitor but it worked well. The screen resolution was not up to HDMI standards as the monitor could not run such high resolution. I did not try the power input as it worked without. even though the RPi complained about the lack of power!
