I”ve carried an HDMI to VGA adapter in my laptop bag for years just in case I needed to connect my laptop to an older VGA projector. I recently lost it (probably at a customer site) and decided to shop for a replacement on . The Rankie adapter is a great product and even includes an audio port – something I haven”t been able to find on others. It also has a 5v micro USB port to add power if needed. Overall great product at an amazing price!

I”ve had this adapter for about a year now and it”s been FANTASTIC! I also shut my cable in my car door and drove on the highway (70 mph speeds) with the HDMI end dragging on the road and creating hecka sparks plugged it into my laptop and BOOM! It still worked!Overall my satisfaction level is through the ROOF!!! Thanks Rankie for making such a great product!

The adapter comes with the cord to attach to the sound as well and it was so easy to just plug in and my tiny laptop was attached to a large monitor flawlessly.

I bought this because I give presentations all over the country. Once in awhile I”ll arrive at the venue to discover they only have a VGA connection for their projector. My laptop is HDMI out only. This adapter works perfectly for this purpose without needing to plug in the 5V DC shown as optional on this adapter. Love it. However I discovered if I try to use an HDMI adapter from my iPad then connect that to this so I can get my iPad to display on the projector the 5V DC adapter was needed. But at the end of the day it still worked perfectly. So how could I give this thing any less than 5 stars? I bought 3 more from my coworkers.

Useful for connecting to an older projector from a newer laptop with only HDMI output. Screen and picture quality was down to old projector not the adapter!
