      My monitor only has a DVI port on it. With this adapter. I was able to connect my graphics card to the monitor via HDMI. I wish there were screw holes for tightening down the adapter. but it’s no biggie.

      Really pleased with this adapter.Used it to connect a laptop to a small Dell monitor.Originally had a VGA to HDMI adapter but the picture quality was poor but this is much better and clearer.Good price

      With working from home. I now have a works laptop and my own personal laptop and one 27″ monitor. The monitor only has one of each connection on the back – HDMI. DVI and another (I forget what it’s called). Both laptops only have HDMI output. so I have connected one to the HDMI in and one to the DVI in with this adapter. With the input of the monitor set to auto. as soon as I shut my works laptop down. I simply power my own up and it automatically connects and displays. Quality connection and a lot cheaper than a HDMI splitter. still gives as high a resolution as my laptop will display too (1920*1080).

      I have a USB docking station that can connect to 2 monitors. one via HDMI and the other via DVI but both of my monitors are HDMI hence the adapter. Works great. Cheaper than buying another USB docking station

      It got the job done. This adapter saved me from having to buy a new video card. I had an unused DVI port and needed another HDMI port.

      They work exactly as advertised. Also. I’m not sure how. because DVI is not supposed to carry audio. but if you plug one of these into a dvi out on your gpu. and plug the hdmi from a monitor or TV into this. you will have sound on your TV/monitor. Great buy.

      The quality is there. You don’t need an explanation of why. and if you do. you shouldn’t be buying this..For your average Joe. this is will do the trick!

      Seems like it was made well and sturdy. Makes a good connection..The only thing I don’t like about them is that the screws don’t have a Philips head for a screwdriver. The screws are really small and close to the adapter body. They are hard to screw in by hand.

      You’ve probably seen the product bullet points like the ones for this adapter which say “The DVI to HDMI adapter supports video resolutions up to 1920×1200”..I’ve just plugged it in and I’m getting good quality 2560 x 1080 on a 34″ monitor. Hope that helps answer a question which comes up often. especially for folks with wide screen monitors. It works!.EDIT – after checking on another computer I see that this is system dependent. Nothing to do with the adapter.
