This cord did the job connecting my pc to my second monitor. It didn’t affect the quality and I do like the fact that you need to press down on the latch to unplug it. which prevents it from getting yanked out. I find the cord did start to wear out pretty quickly when it was bent.

Right of the box. this cable is perfect and simple solution to my new 2-dual HDMI 4-port KVM setup from 4 PCs to 2 LG 4K monitors. One of my PCs has two output:1 DP+1HDMI. One of my existing (3 yrs old) DP->HDMI cable can only deliver 2560×1440. so is another DP->HDMI adapter. Been reading other reviews and fully understand others’ frustration. Please read the product description. it’s uni-direction. Do not expect the other way. Also if your setup has anything like a KVM in b/w PC and monitor. then check your KVM spec. Although your PC and Monitors are can deliver high resolution. most of old KVMs (3 yrs or older) might not support high bandwidth and limit the transfer thru the cable.. So the cable itself is not problem. I have to throw away few DP->HDMI or DVI-D->HDMI adapters since they could NOT convert to higher resolution.

Does the job. but be warned it will not work with a laptop dock. I have a star dock with a display port on the back of it and I bought this so I could connect my dock to my monitor. but it will not work for me. YMMV

More than once I have found myself with cheap 4K extension cables. It’s easy to know when you have one. You lose the picture. sometime the screen will just go blank and not come back. Not with this one. I have not experienced a glitch in the picture since I installed this cable. Also. when connecting the cable I heard a “click” which indicated that the connection was firmly inserted. Never once did this cable came lose. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Just be aware that this product is not usable if you already have a hub that converts a USB-C signal to a display port signal (such as with a Caldigit hub for the MacbookPro). This did not work when I tried it and I confirmed with the seller that the product will not work with this setup. The seller was really helpful and I was able to return the item without a problem. but I just wanted to make point clear for others in the same sitauation.
