Nothing fancy. it just does the job it is designed to do. Zero complaints.

    2. ColinMcC

Bought solely to extend the cabling on a Rift S. Works perfectly.

    3. M Dreier

I purchased this so I could plug my Oculus Rift S VR headset without having to reach around the back of my PC. It works perfectly and I’ve not encountered any issues. I am plugging it into an RTX2070..I am pleased with this cable. It seems well constructed and the connectors are good quality.

    4. RW

Hard to get excited. Needed my monitor a little further from the computer and this cable did what I needed

    5. Brad Collinsworth

I’ve just received and installed this extender. It works fine and I don’t see any problems with it so far..For the money. you pay it is a great value you get..I’ll update the review if something changes.

Had no issues with internal wire bending when getting behind monitor and desk. Its thickness prevented pincing.

Doesn’t work for Rift S + RTX 3080..However. does otherwise seem to be a fairly nice cable.

Took a shot on this cable not knowing how tricky it is to extend the Rift S Displayport signal. It worked almost flawlessly for me for a little over a year however it’s now dropping the signal fairly often and isn’t usable. This makes sense because I leave it on the ground and play a lot of active games that bend and twist the cord (Thrill of the Fight… I have a bad habit of circling only one direction in a boxing ring)..Tried a Cable Matters 3 meter extension that cost 3x this price. The first one didn’t work and the replacement they sent me also didn’t work. Next move is to setup a signal repeater using this cord and see what results I can get. seems the repeaters are the most likely option to work for VR headsets..This is still a great cable seeing as it’s cheap and worked well for a year for me for VR use. I would absolutely trust it if you’re using it for a monitor or static display that isn’t twisting and bending the cord around.

I can confirm that it transfers a 1440p@165hz with this cable and another 6ft cable.

    15. Joao Ferreira

      Excellent

    16. David

Does exactly what it claims to. Good quality cable

    17. Jorge

Tried it on my PC and it was not able to read the oculus using this extension..Other then that it is a great quality cable and would recommend it for general use.

Does what it says on the tin. (It didn’t come in a tin.)

Got this for my cintiq on the ergo stand moving a large screen about is no joke so having one of these since the ergo stand wires are not long enough is great.Only bad side to this and this is personal gripe with some display ports is that u need to push a button in to inject the display port in and pull it out

I have an Oculus Rift S. and have been looking to find a way of using it in the front room. without moving the PC. as it is located under the stairs. I read up a bit. and it sounds like you habe to use extension cables. but to ensure that you do not have the total cable length over 8m. as there could be a data drop over that length which would stop the rift from working..So for the full system. I have bought this product. a 3m hdmi extension (so I can mirror my pc screen to the tv. and let anyone else in the room see the view through the rift). and also a 1.8m usb 3.0 ext cable. All bought on and delivered the next day..The cable arrived in time. neatly packed. and has a robust feel to it. Very easy to plug into the PC display port. and the other end to the rift s cable. Do the same for the USB is you have it.. For me. this worked straight away. and I have had zero issues with any connection problems. it simply did what I had hoped. I have used this so far on Beat Saber. Spiderman. Oculus home and tutorials. and Robo Recall.. The PC is a decent spec grade with a 2080 ti gpu. and runs the rift s with no problems..As a solution for giving just a few extra metres and exetending the headset to PC distance this has worked for me 100%. It now means that I do not have to move the PC to use the headset in a large room.
