    The cover fit perfectly on the fire hd10. It is relatively thin and the fire is safely held hands off horizontal.. The cost is low and of very good value. It would be great if a means to stand the fire vertically since books are easier to read with narrower widths but one can adjust their habits. Also I did not purchase the fire he 10 for books. Yes the fire did drop to the floor once and it was well protected. Bottom line. This cover is a good value and I recommend it as a basic cover for the fire tablets.
